The small blind led out for 1,000, Craig Thompson called in the big blind, Chad Knoblauch called in early position, and the player in middle position folded.

On the K river, the small blind checked, Thompson bet 2,500, Knoblauch called, and the small blind folded.

Thompson tabled A3 for trip aces but Knoblauch held the superior kicker with AJ to earn the pot.

The flop came K4J and Grote led out for 8,000. Middle position folded and the cutoff raised to 30,000. Grote made the call.

The turn brought the 7 and Grote checked. The cutoff then moved all in for close to 50,000 and Grote called with the covering stack.

Back in August at the Roughrider Poker Tour Jackpot Junction, Joseph Osterbauer claimed victory to capture his career-best score of $38,000 along with the custom RPT bracelet.

The inaugural edition of the event marked the Minnesota poker debut for the RPT and it proved to be a huge success. The tournament had an amazing turnout, attracting 474 entries and generating a prize pool of $255,960. Osterbauer defeated Chandra Kontham in a back-and-forth heads-up match to win the title, with his dad cheering him on from the rail.

Late position check-folded when Britton fired out a bet of 4,000 and the pot was pushed Britton's way.
