Aureus Leaves Rummonds in Ruins
Level 2
: Blinds 200/300, 300 ante
This hand was picked up on the board of A♠5♣8♣10♦6♠ in a pot that swelled to approximately 25,000.
Ryan Rummonds opted to bet 12,000 from early position, but his river bet was met with resistance as Edmundo Aureus chose to go all-in for 28,500. Rummonds asked for a count and made the call to go to a showdown.
Aureus tabled A♥6♥ for a rivered two pair, which was not what Rummonds wanted to see, as he showed A♣K♦ for top pair, top kicker, which was sunk by the river.
