Lee Doubles Through Rummonds
Level 16
: Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
This hand was picked up on the flop of 7♦8♥Q♣ with over 90,000 already in the middle. The under-the-gun player checked before Rummonds put out a bet of 28,000 from the next seat over. Denis Lee decided to go all-in for 74,000 total, which led to a fold from the under-the-gun players. Rummonds made the call, putting Lee at risk.
Denis Lee: Q♥5♥
Ryan Rummonds: A♥K♦
Lee was ahead with his pair of queens, but Rummonds was still alive with his overcards as he looked to score the knockout.
The 4♣ turn was a safe one for Lee, and the J♣ river completed the board to award Lee the double.
