Fortunate Timing for Hoffman
Level 17
: Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
It folded to the small blind before he opted to go all-in for approximately 186,000 to put max pressure on Jeff Hoffman in the big blind. This was unfortunate timing as Hoffman woke up with a monster and snap-called to put the small blind at risk.
Opponent: Q♦6♦
Jeff Hoffman: A♠A♦
Hoffman picked up aces at the right time, as he had the small blind crushed.
The Q♥10♥A♥ flop kept Hoffman in the lead with a set of aces.
The 5♥ turn presented some chop outs, as any heart on the river would result in a chop.
That was not meant to be on the 7♦ river, as Hoffman secured the knockout.
