Straight for Mukjic
Level 8
: Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Miralem Mukjic began the bidding with an open to 2,7000 from under-the-gun. Ricky Flora called out of the small blind and the big blind also joined the party to create a three-handed pot.
The K♥J♠J♥ flop was checked by both blinds. Mukjic continued for 2,500. Only Flora called.
Flora checked again on the Q♣ turn. Mukjic bet again for 6,000. Flora was not done and made the call.
Both players knuckled the K♠ river. Flora showed A♥Q♥ for a pair of queens, but it was not enough as Mukjic showed that the queen was a bigger improvement for him when he tabled 10♥9♥ for a straight.
