Persky Registers a Knockout
Level 13
: Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
The chips got in the middle preflop when an opponent from early position shoved for 64,000 and was called by Michael Persky, to be at risk.
Opponent: A♣9♥
Michael Persky: A♠Q♠
Persky enjoyed a healthy lead as they went to a runout, as he had his opponent's ace dominated with five cards to go.
Persky stayed ahead on the A♦2♠10♣, with his kicker doing the heavy lifting to keep him in the lead.
The 7♣ turn did not alter the standings, and the 5♥ river resulted in Persky securing the knockout.
