Fahmy Sends out Savage
Level 14
: Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Will Fahmy raised on the button before Brandy Savage made it a large 55,000 from the small blind in response, leaving only a little behind. Fahmy made the call.
Savage wasted no time putting her final 24,000 in before the flop even came out with a dark bet.
"Let me see the flop first," chuckled Fahmy.
"Set," said Fahmy after the dealer fanned out 5♦8♦7♥ before he made the call to put Savage at risk.
Brandy Savage: A♥9♦
Will Fahmy: 7♣7♦
Fahmy was ahead with his set, but Savage still had a chance to win the hand with a gutshot straight draw.
The 2♠ turn was not what Savage was looking for, as she was drawing to four outs with the river to come.
Fahmy secured the victory when the 9♠ hit the river to eliminate Savage.
