Hellmuth Doubles Late on Day 1c
Level 16
: Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
The pot swelled preflop when Phillip Hellmuth went all-in for 96,000 on the button and was at risk against the original raiser from early position.
Phillip Hellmuth: A♠Q♠
Opponent: 10♦10♠
The flop was smash Hellmuth when it came 6♠3♠J♠, giving him the nut flush and putting his opponent well behind.
The 3♦ turn gave his opponent some hope, as he could hit a three or a ten for a full house.
That did not come to pass on the 8♥ river to award Hellmuth the double-up.
