Hirose Stays Alive Against Pilotin

Starek needed to fade the jack to double up.

The turn and river were paint, but it wasn't the paint Somers needed when the K♦ came on the turn and the K♠ came down on the river to award Starek the double.

The 4♦K♥2♣ flop led to a check from Somers. Aulds continued for 225,000 and was called by Somers.

Somers checked the A♦ turn before Aulds fired 275,000. Once again, Somers made the call.

The 6♦ river led to an all-in from Somers for approximately 955,000. Aulds did not think long before he folded to award the pot to Somers.

Both players checked the 9♠K♠5♠ flop to usher in the 3♣ turn. Aulds led for 225,000 before Pilotin raised to 450,000 in response. Aulds made the call.

The 10♦ river was checked by both players to go to a showdown.

Pilotin showed J♣J♦ for a pair of jacks, but it was not enough as Aulds tabled 3♥3♠ for a set of threes to take down the pot.
