Pilotin checked his option before Costorda opted to bet 80,000. Pilotin verbally announced a call nearly immediately to go to a showdown after the dealer confirmed the action.

Costorda was speeding as he showed 9♦7♣ for nine high. Pilotin had the best of it the whole way, but the river certainly helped as he tabled A♣10♦ for a rivered two-pair to claim the pot and add to his Day 2 chip lead.
