Sanders Gets Two Streets

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Michael Sanders bet 3,000 against two opponents on a board of {3-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}, and the player on the button called before a player who checked from the blinds mucked. Sanders bet 4,000 on the {3-Spades} river and his opponent quickly called. Sanders showed {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades} and his opponent mucked {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs} face-up.

Elsewhere in the tournament, Mary Ellen Roy's early good fortune proved to be fool's gold as she just busted out and reentered. Troy Repp is up to about 100,000.

Torres Piling Chips

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante
Chris Torres
Chris Torres

Chris Torres is running hot here on Day 1a and just busted a player in a multiple-raised pot that went three ways to a {j-}{3-}{3-} flop. The first player bet 20,000 and Torres moved all in, covering everyone. The player on the button folded, and the bettor called off his last 10,000 or so with {q-Clubs}{q-Spades}. Torres had it crushed with {k-}{k-} and the board ran out clean for him. He appears to be the chip leader.

Ace Doesn't Crack Gaubert's Kings

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

A player in the big blind check-called 6,500 from Jeremy Gaubert with the board reading {5-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} on fourth street. Gaubert saw his opponent toss 5,000 in on the {a-Hearts} river. Gaubert splashed in a call, and his opponent showed {k-}{j-}. Gaubert had it beat with {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}.

Dudek Eliminated

Level 6 : 300/600, 75 ante

We found Gene Dudek shoving all in for 3,125 and getting called by Mary Ellen Roy, who had come into the pot under the gun, and a third player. The two active players checked through the {2-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} board and Dudek held his cards over to muck.

"Jack-high," he said.

"King-high," Roy announced, tabling {k-Spades}{j-Clubs}.

The third player showed {k-}{9-} for worse king-high and Dudek mucked {j-Spades}{9-Diamonds}.
