The RunGood Poker Series is back with the Road to the RunGood Cup, a four-part tournament series that kicks off today at 7 p.m. local time at Horseshoe Council Bluffs, just a few short minutes east of Omaha, Neb.
After a couple of preliminary events, the Main Event gets underway tonight, a $675 buy-in with unlimited reentries. It's the first of three starting flights, and not only will the winner claim the lion's share of a $100,000 guaranteed prize pool, but the final nine runners will receive $2,000 packages to the season-ending RunGood Cup Championship.
Last time the RunGood tour came through town, 426 runners created a prize pool of more than $250,000, and Henry Gingerich walked away with $57,806 and a $10,000 Main Event seat.
This year's event will once again feature 30-minute levels on Day 1a, with 13 levels scheduled to be play. Blinds will begin at 25/50 and each starting stack will be 20,000.

Jeff Bryan opened for 250 and saw the player in the cutoff make it 550. The player on the button cold four-bet to 2,500, and Bryan thought awhile and folded, instructing the dealer to separate his cards so he could show them to his opponents after the hand. The cutoff called and then check-folded to a bet on the flop.
