It's time for another winner to be crowned on the RunGood Poker Series here at Downstream Casino, the last stop on the tour before the season-ending RunGood Cup Championship in New Orleans.

A total of 48 runners have advanced through three starting flights to today's Day 2. Tops among them in terms of chip count is Hasan Haq, who will bring 211,500, but Terry Presley is just a hair behind at 211,000. They'll be joined by fellow big stacks Bryan Phahurat (172,500), Joey McCaig (171,000), and John Heckenkamp (169,500).

Also making an appearance will be a gaggle of RunGood Pros — Chris Conrad (142,000), Jonathan Gaviao (130,500), Ray Henson (96,500), Bernard Lee (96,000), and Julie Anna Cornelius (41,000) will all be representing the brand and fighting for victory.

Play is set to begin at noon and continue until a winner is crowned, with levels lasting 45 minutes until the final table, at which point they move to one hour. That winner will bank $25,522 along with a $2,000 Blaycation package to the aforementioned RunGood Cup Championship. All final table participants will win the packages.

Twenty-one players will cash, so the money bubble should burst fairly early in the day. Stay tuned to see how it turns out.

Deuces Giveth...

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Rodney Spriggs
Rodney Spriggs

Hasan Haq bet 18,000 under the gun on a {2-Spades}{4-Clubs}{j-Spades} flop, and Rodney Spriggs took awhile to think before moving all in for 55,500. Four or five players had seen the flop and everyone else mucked fairly quickly.

Spriggs: {2-Hearts}{2-Clubs}
Haq: {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}

Haq, who had won a huge pot with a set of twos on Day 1c, had the tables turned as Spriggs flopped his two-outer. The {5-Spades} turn and {7-Clubs} river were bricks.

Beaty Busts Spriggs

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Rodney Spriggs
Rodney Spriggs

With about 60,000 in the cutoff, Rodney Spriggs shoved all in for the second straight hand, and Michael Beaty moved in over the top from the small blind. The big blind mucked an ace.

Spriggs: {a-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}
Beaty: {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}

Spriggs was in bad shape with an ace dead, and a {j-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{7-Spades}{7-Hearts}{7-Clubs} board gave Beaty a boat.

"I knew I should have thrown that away," Spriggs said. "I had a feeling I was gonna run into something."

Eddleman Out on Bubble

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Mark Eddleman
Mark Eddleman

Mark Eddleman shoved 58,000 in from the small blind over an Austin Peek 13,000 open and Peek made the call.

Peek: {a-Clubs}{5-Spades}
Eddleman: {8-Hearts}{8-Spades}

Eddleman's dominating lead evaporated immediately on the {k-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} flop and no eight appeared to save him. The tournament is now in the money.

Gaviao Doubles Through Hughes

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Jonathan Gaviao
Jonathan Gaviao

Daniel Hughes pushed all in from the button, and Jonathan Gaviao called off for 116,000 in the big blind.

Hughes: {a-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}
Gaviao: {j-Clubs}{j-Spades}

The RunGood Pro was well in front with the jacks, and they stayed best on the {3-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{4-Spades}{q-Clubs}{9-Spades} board.

Peek Out After Brutal Turn

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Austin Peek
Austin Peek

Austin Peek got his remaining chips in with {k-Spades}{k-Hearts} and was at risk against Joey McCaig, who had picked up {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs} at a bad time. The flop brought {2-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}, nothing for McCaig, but he found a {q-Diamonds} on the turn to leave Peek in bad shape. The {8-Spades} river gave Peek only an inferior boat.

Jonathan Gaviao Eliminated in 10th Place ($2,302)

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Jonathan Gaviao
Jonathan Gaviao

Action folded to Daniel Hughes, who moved all in from the small blind. Jonathan Gaviao immediately called off about 150,000 in the big.

Gaviao: {a-}{q-}
Hughes: {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}

Hughes flopped a set as {7-}{9-}{10-} hit the board and he turned a boat to leave the RunGood Pro drawing dead. The remaining players will all win the $2,000 Blaycation packages. They've gone on dinner for 45 minutes.

John Blanken Eliminated in 9th Place ($2,802)

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
John Blanken - 9th Place
John Blanken - 9th Place

Joey McCaig opened for 30,000 in the hijack and called the shove of John Blanken, who had about 175,000 in the big blind.

McCaig: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}
Blanken: {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}

The {3-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} flopped, giving Blanken little help. A {9-Clubs} brought an inside straight draw, but the {5-Spades} was a blank.

Bobby Nair Eliminated in 8th Place ($3,403)

Bobby Nair - 8th Place
Bobby Nair - 8th Place

Joey McCaig opened for 45,000 in the cutoff. Two folds later, Bobby Nair waved his hand toward the pot and said he was all in, for what looked to be about 300,000. McCaig dropped a single chip in and turned up two red aces. Nair held {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}, and a {2-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{4-Spades} board later, he was done.

Chris Pearce Eliminated in 7th Place ($3,953)

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 3,000 ante
Chris Pearce - 7th Place
Chris Pearce - 7th Place

Chris Pearce got the last of his stack in from the button after Vinodkumar Paddolkar raised in the cutoff, but Pearce's {a-Clubs}{7-Hearts} was well behind Paddolkar's {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}.

Pearce let out a sigh when {q-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{j-Clubs} hit the felt, giving Paddolkar a set. But the {3-Clubs} did bring some hope with a flush draw. The {6-Spades} river was not what he needed though, and Paddolkar took the pot.
