Action folded to a short-stacked Nick Weaver in the cutoff and he shoved for his last 81,000. Ryan Phan then isolated with an all-in three bet from the button and both blinds got out of the way.
Weaver:
Phan:
Weaver was in a bad spot, and it got even worse when the flop hit Phan big. The turn left Weaver drawing dead, and after the completed the board on the river, he made his way to the payout desk to collect $2,438.
A mistake may have just cost Fred Walker his tournament life.
The hand began innocently enough with James Hall opening for 35,000. Walker then three-bet all in for 110,000, but the problem was he acted out of turn. Mike Lang still needed to act, and as he told us after the hand, he had planned to move all in. Instead, he just called, which meant Walker's raise stood. Hall ended up folding, and then Lang snap-called.
Lang:
Walker:
The flop didn't help Walker, but the turn did give him a flush draw. Unfortunately for him, it didn't come in as the blanked on the river. Walker will take home $2,438 for his 16th-place finish.
After being crippled down to 20,000 by Ryan Phan, RunGood Ambassador Jamie Kerstetter stuck to her guns and managed to work it back up to 250,000. A comeback looked like it could be in the cards, but any hope of that happening just came crashing down.
It happened when Kerstetter got her chips all in preflop against Adam Dinsmore.
Kerstetter:
Dinsmore:
Kerstetter had a kicker issue, and it didn't get resolved as the board ran out . Kerstetter smiled, and then took her leave in 15th place. Perhaps there is some small consolation in the fact that she managed to ladder up a rung.
Ryan Phan opened for 50,000 from the button only to have a short-stacked Dan Thomas three-bet all in for 135,000 from the small blind. Jim Devaney then four-bet all in over the top for right around 500,000, and that inspired Phan to fold.
Devaney:
Thomas:
It was a flip, and all Thomas needed to do to more than double was hold. That proved easier said than done though as the flop hit Devaney. Neither the turn nor river helped Thomas, and he hit the rail in 14th place.
On Wednesday night, Mark Fink took down the RunGood Poker Series $200 Pot-Limit Omaha event for the coveted medallion. Fink was on a quest to win another, but it just came up short.
In one of the last hands before the dinner break, action folded to Fink on the button and he shoved all in for roughly 300,000. James Hall called from the small blind and Fink discovered the bad news.
Fink:
Hall:
Fink was in need of some major help, but he was left wanting as the board ran out a dry . Fink exited in 13th place and will take home $3,242.
