Slow Going

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

The final 12 players seem to be playing pretty snug here post dinner. There have been few hands going past the flop, and virtually none of any significance. We expect that to change as the clock continues to tick down.

Big Double for Fielder

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Action folded to Jeff Fielder in the small blind and he open-jammed for 458,000. James Hall squeezed out his cards and then made the call.

Fielder: {9-Clubs}{7-Clubs}
Hall: {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}

Fielder was in trouble, but not after he paired up on the {6-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{3-Clubs} flop. Hall was on his feet to take in the action, but he watched helplessly as the {8-Diamonds} blanked on the turn followed by the {5-Spades} on the river.

Mike Lang Eliminated in 12th Place ($4,298)

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
Mike Lang - 12th Place
Mike Lang - 12th Place

Cary Long raised to 58,000 under the gun and Mike Lang responded by three-betting all in for 480,000 from the hijack. Action folded back to Long, and he made a quick call.

Long: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Lang: {6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}

Lang got it in good, but Long pulled out in front on the {a-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{8-Spades}. Lang got out of his seat even before the {5-Clubs} appeared on the turn, and then officially bowed out in 12th place after the {7-Diamonds} blanked on the river.

Last RunGood Ambassador Takes a Big Hit

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

It appeared Ryan Tepen had raised to 50,000 from the button and Ryan Phan three-bet jammed for 441,000 from the big blind. Tepen made the call and it was off to the races.

Phan: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}
Tepen: {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}

Tepen was primed to score the knockout on the {5-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{9-Hearts} flop, and the {2-Clubs} turn kept in well out in front. Phan needed either an ace or king to stay alive, and he found it as the {A-Hearts} spiked on the river. Phan, a local $2-$5 no-limit hold'em cash game player, let out an emphatic "yes" and turned to celebrate with his friends.

Adam Dinsmore Eliminated in 11th Place ($4,298)

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
Adam Dinsmore - 11th Place
Adam Dinsmore - 11th Place

Action folded to Henry Gingerich on the button and he put in a raise to 125,000. Adam Dinsmore then moved all in for about 170,000 more from the small blind, the big folded, and Gingerich opted to call raise.

Dinsmore: {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}
Gingerich: {q-Spades}{7-Spades}

The {7-Clubs}{k-Spades}{3-Spades} flop made things interesting as Gingerich flopped a flush draw, and he hit it straight away as the dealer burned and turned the {J-Spades}. Dinsmore shook hands with his vanquisher as the dealer put out the meaningless {8-Spades} on the river, and then made his way to the payout desk in 11th place to collect $4,298.

The final 10 players will now redraw down to one table.

RunGood Ambassador Ryan Tepen Eliminated in 10th Place ($4,298)

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
Ryan Tepen - 9th Place
Ryan Tepen - 9th Place

In one of the first hands of the final table, RunGood Ambassador and Day 1a chip leader Ryan Tepen moved all in for his last 230,000 or so under the gun and Calvin Musil called from the cutoff. The rest of the players folded and the cards were turned up.

Musil: {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}
Tepen: {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}

Tepen was well out in front, and his position got even stronger when the {j-Clubs}{9-Spades}{2-Hearts} flop delivered him a top set. In fact, the only way Musil could win was with either running sevens or straight cards.

"Oh, wow. Eight?" James Hall said when the {10-Clubs} turn made the straight a possibility. It proved to be a brutal precursor as the {8-Hearts} spiked on the river.

"Good game," Tepen mustered before making a beeline for the door.

Jim Devaney Eliminated in 9th Place ($5,630)

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante
James Devaney - 9th Place
James Devaney - 9th Place

Jeff Fielder opened for 65,000 from early position and Jim Devaney just called. The rest of the players folded and it was heads-up action to the {8-Clubs}{10-Spades}{9-Spades} flop. Fielder check-called a bet of 80,000, and then checked the {A-Diamonds} turn. Devaney shoved his stack, and Fielder wasted little time in making the call.

Fielder: {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}
Devaney: {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}

Devaney had slow played his kings preflop, and he paid the price on the turn as Fielder paired his ace to take the lead. The river was a blank, and just like that one of the local favorites found himself on the rail in ninth place for $5,630.

A Slow Grind

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Since the elimination of Jim Devaney, action has slowed to a crawl at the final table. Still, that hasn't stopped some railbirds from watching the action, no doubt chomping at the bit for a big pot to go down. It'll happen eventually.
