The RunGood Poker Series is heading for a big total Main Event number on Saturday, as Day 1c is about to kick off. Friday night's Main Event flight drew 136 runners and Jesse McVicker bagged a whopping 254,000, easily good for the current chip lead. Day 1b on Saturday afternoon drew 112 players and Miguel Hernandez bagged 187,500, good for the top stack for the 2nd flight.
The third and final Day 1 flight will see how far RunGood can exceed the $100,000 guarantee. The winner will also receive a $10,000 WSOP seat for this year's main event.
Levels are set at 30 minutes for Day 1 and they will play 12 levels, starting at 7 p.m. local time. Stay tuned to PokerNews live reporting as we will bring you updates throughout.
Donnie Peters, Chad Holloway, and Rich Ryan discuss the APPT Nanjing Millions, Alex Jacob's elimination on Jeopardy!, the happenings at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, and more.
Day 1c of the 2015 RunGood Poker Series Hard Rock Tulsa drew 126 entrants, bringing the total across the three Day 1 flights to 363. The $100,000 guarantee was never in question and ultimately neither was the quest to see it doubled.
After 12 levels of play at 30 minutes each, just 33 players survived from this flight.
The Day 1c chip leader is RunGood pro Justin Gardenhire, who bagged 153,500. That number is slightly unimpressive versus the leaders from the first two flights, but very impressive since he did it in just four levels of play after entering at the last minute before registration closed for the day.
Other notables to advance to Sunday's Day 2 are Ladd Gibke (152,500), Robert Skulman (136,000), and Dan "Wretchy" Martin (101,000).
Those that advanced will join previous chip leaders Jesse McVicker (254,000, Day 1a) and Miguel Hernandez (187,500, Day 1b, from the first two flights when they combine to play Day 2 on Sunday. A total of 88 players advanced and will have their eye on the $49,259 top prize plus a $10,000 World Series of Poker Main Event seat.
Keep your eye on PokerNews Sunday as we will bring you Day 2 action starting at noon local time.
