Nguyen Takes Early Hit

Level 2 : 50/100, 0 ante

The folks at RunGood were able to fill us in on a recent hand where Huy Nguyen was heads up with an opponent after an {8-}{5-}{3-} rainbow flop. Nguyen led for 1,000 and his opponent raised to 2,500. Nguyen called and the turn was the {a-Hearts}, putting two hearts on the board. Nguyen check-called a bet of 3,000 and both players checked after an off-suit three on the river.

Nguyen tabled {7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} for the busted straight draw and his opponent showed {j-}{8-} for a pair and Nguyen took an early hit.
