Welcome to Day 1a of RunGood Poker Series Hard Rock Tulsa
The Road to the RunGood Cup kicked off a few weeks ago at the Horseshoe in Council Bluffs, Iowa, just outside of Omaha, Neb. Brandon Fish booked the first win of the season when he topped a field of 283 and pocketed $34,267 and a trip to New Orleans for the season-ending championship.
Now, the RunGood Poker Series returns to its roots in Oklahoma for an event at Hard Rock Tulsa. Last fall, an event here drew 317 runners to blow past the $100,000 guarantee. RunGood Pro Ross Bybee took that one down as part of a four-way chop, banking more than $26,000 in the process.
The first of three starting flights kicks off at 7 p.m. local time, and players are scheduled to play 13 30-minute levels. They'll start with 20,000 at blinds of 25/50 and eliminated players may reenter as many times as they wish until the beginning of Level 9 (600/1,200/200).

Some more notable players have filtered in, including AP Phahurat. Phahurat has earned more than $572,000 in cashes competing in poker tournaments to date. The biggest of those came when he cashed for $137,603 after coming runner-up to David Tuthill in a 2013 WSOPC Main Event at Caesar's Palace.

Spriggs Folds Out Three

Four players put in 1,200 preflop, and 
hit the felt. The big blind checked, and an early-position player bet 1,500. Everyone came along, and the 
turned. The aggressor fired again for 3,000, and his first opponent called. Rodney Spriggs thought a long time, apologizing for the wait before he shoved all in. He covered the other players, who quickly folded, except the last player, who took a little longer.
Spriggs didn't show.

Jennings Gets Lucky

Chips continue to fly at Table 27, where Greg Jennings recently scored an elimination. Three players saw a flop for what looked like about 1,000, and the big blind bet out 4,000 on the 
. One player folded, leaving Jennings to act.
"Well we know what the next bet is," Jennings said, seeing his opponent had only about 8,000 behind.
Jennings put the player all in, and he called off with 
. It was good as Jennings was drawing with 
. He missed the 
turn but the river gave him a winnings straight.
Jennings has just shy of $300,000 in live cashes and recently took down HPT Kansas City for $118,000.
