Day 3 Started
Two days of play at RunGood Council Bluffs have seen a field of 144 players pared to just 26. Today, one of those 26 will claim a first-place prize of $40,320 and a memorial plaque on the traveling RunGood Champions Cup.
Each of the two Day 1 flights reached a hard stop with 13 players left. Day 1b got there much earlier, and play will resume late in Level 13 (1,000/2,000/300) with about two minutes left on the clock. As with Day 1, all of the levels today will be 40 minutes long as part of the new, longer tournament structure.
Tom Leto is the man to catch early on as he bagged 328,800 in his fiery Day 1b run, good for a wide lead over second-place Russell Licking (240,500). RunGood Pros Justin Gardenhire (213,500), Michael Sanders (165,500), and Ryan Tepen (133,700) also remain in contention. The latter has taken down two RunGood events within the past year, including the RunGood Cup Championship.
Cards are scheduled to fly at 11 a.m. local time here in Council Bluffs, so stay tuned here on PokerNews to see who takes the first ever $1,100 Main Event on RunGood Poker Series.
