Brungardt Doubles Through Bybee

Level 13 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Ross Bybee opened in the hijack and called the shove of Brian Brungardt, who made it 31,500 more on the button.

Bybee: [ad9d
Brungardt: {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}

The {7-Spades}{5-Hearts}{7-Clubs} helped neither player but Bybee picked up a straight draw with the {6-Hearts} turn. It was a {5-Clubs} falling on fifth street though, and Brungardt doubled through.

Dinner Double for Karn

Level 12 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Grant Hinkle opened to 6,000 in middle position and Terry Karn made it 13,000 on the button. Hinkle shipped for 59,000 effective, and Karn snapped.

Karn: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}
Hinkle: {a-Hearts}{6-Hearts}

Hinkle had three outs but none materialized as the board rolled out {10-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{2-Spades}.

Players are on break for one hour.

Tepen Puts Nye to the Test

Level 12 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Ryan Tepen defended his big blind from a middle-position raise by Erin Nye, and he then led out for 10,000 on the {6-Hearts}{7-Spades}{5-Spades} flop. Nye made it 30,000 and Tepen called. On the {9-Diamonds} turn, Tepen shoved all in for 66,000 effective after some thought. Nye tanked about three or four minutes and then mucked he hand.

Hinkle Doubles

Level 12 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
Grant Hinkle
Grant Hinkle

We didn't see how the hand went down, but Grant Hinkle just doubled with {8-}{8-} against an opponent holding {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}. The board ran out blank for the ace-king, while Hinkle made a full house as three tens hit the felt.

Baum Calls Down

Level 12 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

A player in middle position fired 14,000 on a board of {10-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{8-Hearts}, and Martin Baum called from the cutoff. Baum tanked about 90 seconds and called another barrel of 18,500 after the {8-Diamonds} river.

"Good call," his opponent said.

Baum flipped {k-Spades}{10-Spades} and took the pot.

Nye Finishes Rieck

Level 11 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Mike Rieck shipped in the cutoff for about 13,000, and Erin Nye called on the button.

"Please tell me I'm live," Rieck said as he showed {9-Clubs}{8-Hearts}. He was pleased to see that was the case as Nye held {k-}{q-}.

The flop, though, came {k-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{7-Clubs} and Rieck was in awful shape. He did find the {6-Clubs} on the turn for a sweat, but the {a-Spades} did not complete his straight.

McAdams Doubles Through Rieck

Level 11 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Mike McAdams was all in from the hijack for about 25,000 when we got to his table. Mike Rieck was tanking on the {7-Spades}{4-Spades}{5-Clubs} flop, and he decided to make the call.

McAdams: {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}
Rieck: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

"Set or a flush draw the only things that made sense," Rieck muttered.

Another player was expressing his thanks that he folded fours in the big blind, and the board ran out {3-Spades}{3-Hearts} to give McAdams a winning boat.
