Ryan Tepen, defending champ, looking for a better day than Friday.

The second flight of the Harrah's North Kansas City RunGood Poker Main Event kicks off at noon with ten tables ready for action. The first flight pulled 97 entrants and casino officials expect about that this afternoon.

Players are in for 12 levels of action - ending approximately at 6:30 pm - with the final flight kicking off at 7 pm.

We expect a full slate of RunGood pros in action on Saturday with local players such as Cash Carpenter and Nick Burris already at the tables.

Keep it locked on PokerNews for all the RunGood action.

Uncle Ron Chips Up

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

One of the most colorful characters in poker, Mason Hinkle aka "Uncle Ron", is in the field. He's the youngest Hinkle brother to Grant and Blair, but the only Hinkle here today.

We found him on the button against one player with a board of {A-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{4-Hearts}. His opponent bet 475, Hinkle called and the turn came {7-Diamonds}. Hinkle called 1,000, the river came {3-Hearts} and his opponent checked. Hinkle bet 2,500 and after staring at his cards for quite a bit, his opponent mucked.

Hiteshew Bets Out Competition

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

Jackson Brooks opened to 1,200, Greg Jennings called and Travis Hiteshew called on the button. The flop came {A-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}, Brooks led for 1,700, Jennings called and Hiteshew called. The turn came {2-Hearts}, Brooks checked and Jennings bet 4,000. Hiteshew thought for a moment and moved all in for around 12,000. Brooks tank-mucked, Jennings kicked his cards to the muck and Hiteshew took the pot.
