Alan Meisenheimer grew up 50 miles north of Bossier City. He says he plays all the tournaments in the area and occasionally travels up to Choctaw, OK.

Last year, Meisenheimer traveled to Las Vegas for the first time to play in the World Series of Poker.

"I broke even," he said, "I've won some nightly tournaments here and there, but never anything big."

The first place prize in the RGPS Main Event will easily be Meisenheimer's biggest career cash.

He's been married 21 years and has four children. He owns an independent insurance agency and is looking for a deep run in this Main Event.
