Donnelly Shoves the Flop; Chip Counts from Table 14

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Johnny Donnelly was under the gun and opened the action with a raise to 27,000. Jaosn Nguyen called him from the hijack, as did Tim Gilliam, who was on the button.

The three saw a flop of {q-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} and Donnelly, first to act, announced he was all in. Both Nguyen and Gilliam folded without more than a few seconds of hesitation and Donnelly took down the pot.

Jones Finds Aces at the Right Time

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Dennis Jones pumped it up to 23,000 from under the gun and was called by the two players on his direct left, Lam Huynh and Christopher Shaw. The next player to act was Jamie Strickland, who three-bet to 120,000. Action folded around to Jones, who shoved for 123,000 and got folds from Huynh and Shaw before Strickland put out the last 3,000.

Dennis Jones: {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}
Jamie Strickland: {j-Hearts}{j-Spades}

Strickland's jacks were well behind Jones' aces and only fell further behind as the flop came {5-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{a-Spades}, leaving Strickland in need of perfect-perfect running jacks to knock out Jones. The turn {2-Diamonds} left him drawing dead, securing the double for Jones as the river fell {9-Clubs} to complete the runout.

Gilliam Shoves the River

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Tim Gilliam
Tim Gilliam

There was over 70,000 in the middle from four-way preflop action between Kevin Koch in the big blind, Tim Gilliam who was under the gun, Mykel Comroe in the hijack, and Bryan Chaler, who was on the button.

The flop fell {4-Hearts}{k-Spades}{9-Spades} and action checked to Comroe, who put out a bet of 75,000. Chaler went into the tank for close to a minute before deciding to let his hand go, with Koch quickly dumping his cards right afterward. Action was then back on Gilliam and he made the call.

Both players checked the turn {3-Hearts} to bring the river {7-Spades}. Gilliam announced he was all in, putting Comroe to a decision for almost 40 percent of his remaining chips. He did not like his hand as much as Gilliam did and decided to let it go rather than see a showdown, resulting in the pot being sent Gilliam's way.

Jacob Eliminated by Henson To Force Redraw

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
John Jacob
John Jacob

John Jacob was in the small blind and shoved all in for his last 40,000 upon action being folded to him. Ray Henson called from the big blind.

John Jacob: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Ray Henson: {3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}

Jacob's ace-king was in need of improving versus Henson's threes and was unable to get there as the board ran out {8-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{10-Clubs} to send him home in 28th place, forcing the three-table redraw.

Comroe Continues Climbing

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Phylis Blanton saw action folded to her in the hijack and opened to 18,000, receiving calls behind her from Mykel Comroe in the cutoff and Glen Marshall, who was on the button. The three saw a flop of {6-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{2-Spades} and Blanton made a continuation-bet of 25,000. Comroe called and Marshall folded.

The turn fell {9-Hearts} and Blanton checked. Comroe put out a bet of 50,000 and Blanton thought for a few moments before sending her cards to the muck, bringing Comroe over 600,000 along the way as he continues his ascent through the counts, now appearing to be at or near the top of the leader board.

Mann Reshoves on Register

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Matthew Register opened to 17,000 from middle position and action folded around to Dennis Mann, who announced he was all in from the big blind. Register thought for a few moments and then sent his cards to the muck.

Play appears to have slowed down to start Level 17, with the field reaching 28 players just moments ago, meaning just one more elimination is needed before the final three-table redraw.
