Two More Flights for the RGPS Council Bluffs Main Event Saturday

There is still time to play an opening flight of the RunGood Poker Series Council Bluffs main event. The poker room at the Horseshoe Council Bluffs will be packed with cash games and two Day 1 flights of the $100,000 main event.

This is the first event of the All Stars season, so players are also competing for points and a casino championship. Currently Rachel Keele is in first place for the championship. Jim Devaney is tied in points, but has earned less money and is currently in second place.

The winner of the main event will also get an All Stars seat. The All Stars promotion is a partnership with PokerGO to play in an invite only tournament filmed in the PokerGO studio against some of the top players and personalities in the poker world — along with other RGPS qualifiers from other stops.

The main event today will play 12 30-minute levels in each of the two Day 1 flights. The players will start with 20,000 chips and reentry will be available until the start of level nine.

The first starting flight is at noon. The second is at 7 p.m.

All the updates and photos will be right here on PokerNews.com throughout the day.

Six players saw the flop for 300 apiece.

The flop came {5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} and Tim Anstine was the first to bet.

He made it 1,300 and Matt Donaldson called behind. The player on the button raised to 4,000 and Brian Kellogg called. Anstine three-bet to 10,000. Donaldson and the button folded and Kellogg moved all in for 14,000. Anstine called and showed {a-Hearts}{2-Hearts}.

Kellogg had {4-Hearts}{3-Clubs}.

The turn was the {2-Clubs} and the river was the {j-Spades} and Anstine won the hand and eliminated Kellogg.

“Following the success of Showbound’ earlier this year, we’re ready to raise the stakes and highlight more heroes from the RunGood Poker Series,” said Sam Simmons, president of Poker Central. “’We’re excited to welcome ‘All-Stars’ from across the country to the PokerGO Studio to compete on poker’s greatest stage.”

“Getting to send two players from the tour last year to be on ‘Poker After Dark’ was a dream experience. After wrapping up, my first thought was let’s share this ride with more. The brilliant minds at PokerGO and I went into the tank and came out with something magical,” said Tana Karn, president of RunGoodGear.com, owner of the RunGood Poker Series. “The stage is set for one heck of a party.”
