Manouchakian Knocks Out Beasley

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

Mike Beasley moved all-in for his remaining 5,200 and was looked up from the big blind by Karl Manouchakian with the covering stack.

Mike Beasley: {a-Clubs}{2-Hearts}
Karl Manouchakian: {3-Clubs}{3-Spades}

Beasley was behind and looking for one of three aces to stay alive. He found the first one on the {10-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{a-Hearts} flop which had him pulling ahead. Beasley found the second ace on the {a-Spades} turn and Manouchakian was looking for one of two outs. The river {3-Diamonds} was one of those outs and Beasley stood up and walked away from the table.

Platt Spikes The River

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Jeff Platt
Jeff Platt

Jeff Platt raised to 2,200 first to act and was called by a player in middle position and the big blind.

The flop of {10-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{k-Clubs} was checked around to the {3-Clubs} turn that saw Platt lead for 2,500. The middle position player responded by raising to 7,000 and the big blind got out of the way. Platt thought for a little bit before moving all-in for 24,000 effective and the opponent snap-called.

Opponent: {q-Spades}{j-Hearts}
Jeff Platt: {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}

Platt had flopped a set, but it was no good against his opponents' flopped broadway. The river came off the {3-Spades} which filled Platt up and the other player left the tournament area.

Siegel Shows Quads

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Raminder Singh raised to 2,500 under the-gun and was called only by Eric Siegel in the small blind.

The flop came down{5-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{8-Spades} and Singh continued for 3,700 when checked to which Siegel called.

The turn of {8-Hearts} was checked through to the {7-Spades} that saw Siegel lead for 6,700. Singh sat back in his chair as he deliberated before eventually saying "I know you got a king man." He tossed what he said were pocket tens into the muck and Siegel shook his head. "Not a king," he said before he flashed {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} for four of a kind as he raked in the pot.

McKoy Knocks Out His Neighbor

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

A player in the small blind who had just called, was facing a raise of 3,000 from Steven McKoy in the big blind.The small blind called and the two players saw a flop.

The flop came out {7-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{8-Spades} and the small blind checked to McKoy who bet 3,000. The small blind raised to 7,200 and McKoy chuckled. "Man there are so many turn cards you are gonna bust on," he said playfully while calling.

The turn rolled off a {q-Spades} and the small blind checked to McKoy who put him all-in for his remaining 22,400. "You don't bust if you don't call man," McKoy said. The small blind nodded then put in his chips.

Small blind: {j-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}
Steven McKoy: {7-Spades}{7-Hearts}

The small blind shook hands with Steven before the river card even came as his second pair was drawing dead against the set of sevens, and McKoy's stack rose even higher.

Mantel Heroes The River

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

A player raised to 2,500 from first position and was called by 4 players including Ariel Mantel in the big blind.

The flop came out {4-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{3-Diamonds} and the raiser bet 5,000 and was called by only the big blind and the turn was taken heads up.

The turn of {3-Hearts} saw a bet from the same player to the tune of 7,500 and Mantel called once more.

{4-Hearts} was the river and Mantel checked to his opponent once more and they moved all-in for 12,700. Mantel went into the tank and after some brief consideration he put in the chips for the call. The opponent said "good call," before turning over {2-Clubs}{2-Hearts} for a counterfeited pair. Mantel turned over {a-Spades}{2-Diamonds} for ace high with two pair on board which gave him a healthy boost to his chip stack.
