Thomas Doubles with Two Pair

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Blaine Thomas was in position in a heads-up pot against Shane Truesdale on a board reading {2-Hearts}{j-Spades}{9-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}.

Truesdale led all-in with Blaine covered and Blaine called with his remaining stack of 135,000.

Blaine Thomas: {q-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}
Shane Truesdale: {j-Hearts}{8-Hearts}

Thomas was ahead with two pair but needed to dodge the flush and straight outs of his opponent. He did so as the river bricked off with the {6-Clubs} and he secured a double-up.

Truesdale Spikes River to Double Through Salimi

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Shane Truesdale
Shane Truesdale

Shane Truesdale was in a heads-up pot against Barbod Salimi on a board of {10-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{a-Spades} with about half of his stack already in the middle.

Truesdale moved all-in for around 120,000 and Salimi thought for a minute before putting out a stack of chips for a call.

Shane Truesdale: {a-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}
Barbod Salimi: {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}

Truesdale was out-kicked by Salimi and at risk of being eliminated. But the dealer put out the {7-Clubs} on the river and the Day 1a chip leader smacked the table in celebration as he hit two pair to stay alive.

"Oh, that's fugly!" a tablemate yelled. "That's fugly."

"Wow," reacted another.

Salimi was gracious after the suck-out and knocked the table with his fist to tell Truesdale "nice hand."

Kyle Reynolds:{k-Hearts}{j-Spades}
Opponent: {q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}

Moreno Chips Up

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

The under the gun player opened to 18,000 and Andrew Moreno flat-called in middle position to get the hand heads-up.

The opponent continued with a bet of 13,000 on the flop of {4-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{k-Hearts} and Moreno called. The opponent then checked on the {8-Clubs} turn and Moreno thought for a minute before checking back.

The opponent checked again on the {q-Spades} river and Moreno bet 36,000. The opponent nodded to acknowledge defeat and mucked his cards.

Thomas Eliminates Seem, Cornelius Also Gone

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Vidhi Seem
Vidhi Seem

A player in early position opened and Blaine Thomas three-bet in middle position. Vidhi Seem then cold four-bet jammed a stack of about 160,000 from the button.

The action folded back to Thomas, who took a minute a called with Seem covered.

Vidhi Seem: {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Blaine Thomas: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}

It was a classic race headed to the flop of {j-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} which left Seem ahead with her pocket tens, and {7-Clubs} on the turn didn't change things. Seem winced as the river peeled off the {a-Clubs} to give Thomas a pair of aces and the better hand.

"It is what it is," shrugged Seem as she left the tournament area.

Around the same time, RunGood ambassador Julie Cornelius was seen standing up after being eliminated from the Main Event in 33rd place. Cornelius was the last RunGood ambassador standing as "Boston" Rob Mariano and Joe Stapleton were eliminated earlier in the day.

Kollar Crosses a Million

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Forrest Kollar has crossed the million mark with a stack of about 1,100,000. It appears as though a large portion of those chips came from tablemate Lena Evans, who was left riding the short stack.
