Connors Soars Ahead With Massive Chip Lead

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Bill Connors
Bill Connors

After a raise under-the-gun to 2,000, the middle position player then shipped his stack of 40,000 and was quickly called by big stack Bill Connors. The rest of the players got out of the way and the cards were tabled, with the middle position player at risk.

Middle Position: {5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}
Bill Connors: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}

The middle-positioned player was slightly ahead going into the flip, but the flop of {3-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{k-Clubs} quickly changed that as it gave Connors top two-pair. His opponent could still hit a four or a five to win, but the runout of {2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} sealed his fate and he was eliminated. Meanwhile, Connors was pushed the huge pot to boost his already large stack to almost 250,000.

Lipton Hits Runner-Runner

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Chad Lipton moved all in from under-the-gun and action folded to the button who quickly made the call, putting Lipton at risk.

Chad Lipton: {k-Clubs}{10-Hearts}
Button Player: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}

Lipton found himself way behind his opponent's pocket aces, but the board runout of {5-Spades}{3-Spades}{7-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{10-Spades} gave him a runner-runner two pair to crack the aces and win the hand.

"I knew the king-ten was coming, I just knew it," Lipton said as he was pushed the chips for a double-up.

Meanwhile, his opponent was left with a short stack and busted the very next hand with ace-eight versus ace-nine.

Delasierra Binks Turn

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

On a three-way flop of {j-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}, Tavish Margers and Tom Woodard both checked to Miguel Delasierra, who then moved all in for 16,700.

Margers thought for a second before electing on a fold, but Woodard quickly made the call, putting Delasierra at risk.

Miguel Delasierra: {4-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}
Tom Woodard: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}

Woodard was ahead with his ace-king high, but Delasierra had a flush draw and it took no time to hut as the {k-Diamonds} smacked on the turn to leave Woodard drawing dead. The board completed with a meaningless {4-Hearts} and Delasierra was pushed the pot for a double-up.

Two Hands with Howard

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Taylor Howard
Taylor Howard

On a completed board of {7-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{8-Spades}, Taylor Howard bet 20,000 from the big blind into the heads-up pot of around 25,000.

This bet sent his opponent, Jonathan Gonzalez, deep into the tank.

After a good while in thought, Gonzalez made the call but was then shown {a-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} by Howard for a rivered full house. Gonzalez mucked his hand and Howard was shipped the pot to boost his stack to over 100,000.

Unfortunately, Howard then lost 20,000 the very next hand when he ran his pocket jacks into pocket aces and could not improve.

CLub GG Qualifier Kehia Eliminated in Brutal Cooler

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Dustin Kehia
Dustin Kehia

Pokernews missed the hand but was filled in by the table after the fact.

Mark Feinberg opened under-the-gun to 3,000 and found one call from Club GG qualifier Dustin Kehia in the hijack.

The flop came {a-Hearts}{9-Spades}{5-} and Feinberg continued for 4,500 and Kehia made the call to see the {j-Clubs} on the turn.

Feinberg then bet out 9,000 and Kehia called once more.

The river fell the {j-Spades} and Feinberg fired the third barrel, this time for 15,000. Kehia then moved all in for around 40,000 total and Feinberg snap-called, putting Kehia at risk.

Kehia tabled {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} for a full house, nines full of jacks, but he was then shown {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} by Feinberg for a bigger full house, jacks full of aces.

Kehia was eliminated from the tournament while Feinberg scored a big double up.
