Welcome To Day 1bc of the RunGood Poker Series Contenders Tunica $575 Main Event

Horseshoe Tunica
Horseshoe Tunica

The RunGood Poker Series Contenders Tour(RGPS) continues with its final starting day of the Horseshoe Tunica $575 Main Event, which will look to have a full room of action as two flights will take place in back-to-back fashion at noon and 7 p.m. local time, respectively.

Days 1b and 1c will follow in the footsteps of Friday night's Day 1a, which drew 184 entries to kick off the Main Event. In that flight, 12 half-hour levels were played to their completion and 46 players made their way through to Sunday's Day 2. Whoever joins that list today will be up against plenty of formidable opponents from the initial flight, too, though everybody will be gunning for Donnie Phan's top stack of 213,000.

Like Friday's flight, players receive starting stacks of 25,000 and will look to play 12 levels of 30 minutes apiece. Blinds begin at 100/100 and increase regularly from there with breaks after every four levels, or two hours of play. Unlimited re-entries are available through the end of the second break for each flight, closing at the start of Level 9 (600/1,200/1,200).

All who advance will return Sunday at noon once more to play down to a winner, with levels increasing to 40 minutes in length on Day 2. However, the tournament has only seen around one-third of its Day 2 participants decided at this point, meaning the story is only beginning to be told. Stay right here at PokerNews to see how the next chapters unfold.
