Day 1bc Started
The RunGood Poker Series Contenders Tour(RGPS) continues with its final starting day of the Horseshoe Tunica $575 Main Event, which will look to have a full room of action as two flights will take place in back-to-back fashion at noon and 7 p.m. local time, respectively.
Days 1b and 1c will follow in the footsteps of Friday night's Day 1a, which drew 184 entries to kick off the Main Event. In that flight, 12 half-hour levels were played to their completion and 46 players made their way through to Sunday's Day 2. Whoever joins that list today will be up against plenty of formidable opponents from the initial flight, too, though everybody will be gunning for Donnie Phan's top stack of 213,000.
Like Friday's flight, players receive starting stacks of 25,000 and will look to play 12 levels of 30 minutes apiece. Blinds begin at 100/100 and increase regularly from there with breaks after every four levels, or two hours of play. Unlimited re-entries are available through the end of the second break for each flight, closing at the start of Level 9 (600/1,200/1,200).
All who advance will return Sunday at noon once more to play down to a winner, with levels increasing to 40 minutes in length on Day 2. However, the tournament has only seen around one-third of its Day 2 participants decided at this point, meaning the story is only beginning to be told. Stay right here at PokerNews to see how the next chapters unfold.

Cards are in the air on Day 1b after a short delay and all necessary pre-tournament announcements have been made. One hundred and twenty players are already in action and a line of players awaits their chance to join them upon becoming a late registrant and being awarded a seat in the Horseshoe Tunica Poker Room.

The flop read and Rose Cooney, in the cutoff, was in the process of calling a bet of 500 from the small blind. Action proceeded heads up to the turn and Cooney called another 1,200.
The river fell and the small blind checked. Cooney bet 1,500 and her opponent called. Cooney showed for flopped trips and her opponent mucked.
"That's not what I expected to see!" said another player at the table, and the pot was shipped Cooney's way.

Back in July 2020, Kerry Hildebrand won the RGPS All Stars Online Freeroll on Faded Spade Poker Club, where the top prize was a seat into the RGPS All Stars Pro-Am Event, which would ultimately not be held until December 2021.
At that tournament, Hildebrand was ultimately eliminated in a three-way all in against RunGood Ambassador "Boston" Rob Mariano and eventual runner-up Danielle Andersen. Also recently, Hildebrand took eighth place in last fall's $420 RGPS Golden Ticket Main Event at Horseshoe Council Bluffs, earning her a career-best live score of $4,558.
We'll be sure to keep an eye on Hildebrand as she makes her way through the afternoon. The tournament clock has 162 entries already accounted for, and that number will continue to grow as late registration remains open until the beginning of Level 9.

Six players went to a flop of and five players checked before the player on the button bet 2,300. Only Jacob Tittle called, doing so from early position.
Action then went heads up to the turn and Tittle checked again. His opponent fired another 6,500 and Tittle called, bringing the river where both players checked to take the hand to showdown.
"I've got an ace," said Tittle as he showed .
"An ace is good," his opponent responded, sending his cards to the muck after seeing Tittle's holdings.
