Geiger Counters Nut Flush

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

On a heads-up completed board of 491045, Gregory Geiger moved all in for his last 15,000 and it was over to Richard Spirra to make a decision.

After a few seconds, Spirra made the call and tabled A3 for an ace-high flush, but was then shown 1010 by Geiger for the nut full house to take down the large pot.

Nguyen Busts Who??

Joe Nguyen
Joe Nguyen

On a heads-up turn of 727J, Joe Nguyen led out for 2,000 into the pot of 11,000 and the player in the lojack made the call. The player on the button then bumped it up to 6,000 and Nguyen made the call, but then the lojack moved all in for 66,000.

The button got out of the way and Nguyen only hesitated for a few seconds before making the call to put his opponent at risk.

Joe Nguyen: 78

Nguyen had a strong hand with trip sevens, but his opponent already had him beat with his flopped full house of deuces full. Miraculously, the 7 smacked on the river to give Nguyen quads and sent his opponent to the rail as he rocketed up to 150,000.

"Wow, yeah, I really thought he just had ace-jack of diamonds," Nguyen admitted as he stacked his new chips.

In a wild twist, the "opponent" turned out to be WSOP sideline reporter and PokerGO legendary commentator and all-around good guy, Jeff Platt. Let the record also show that Platt was a good sport and gave Nguyen a fist bump before making his way to the exit.

Serious Discussion Only at Table 40

Level 3 : 200/400, 400 ante

On a multi-way flop of 55A, action checked all the way around to Bob Mather in the cutoff who tossed out a bet of 800 and found little resistance as each player folded.

Meanwhile, Rob Mariano and Mather debated on if Travis Kelce is better than Rob Gronkowski. They also admitted they are both jealous of tablemate Ben Ludlow as he is attending Taylor Swift tomorrow night.

Lom Check-Jams Turn

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

On a three-way board that read 5537, Vanna Lom checked to Miralem Mujkic who bet 6,000 and was called by Robert Anderson.

Then when it got back to Lom he decided to check-jam all in for 25,300 to which Mujkic quickly folded. Anderson then thought about it for a good while before finally shaking his head and sliding his cards into the muck to award the pot to Lom.
