$600 Main Event
Day 1a Started
The RunGood Poker Series is once more making its trek to Downstream Casino and Resort, just outside of Joplin, Missouri. Over the past week, a full series of events was run at the casino including a Pot-Limit Omaha Event, A Guest Ambassador’s Bounty, and a multi day Deepstack Event that had a $25,000 prize pool guarantee. Today begins the first flight of the $600 RunGood Main Event which boasts a $100,000 prize pool guarantee.
Last year’s iteration of the event saw a massive 794 entrants come out to play over the course of three starting flights, creating a prize pool worth $412,880. After the dust settled it was Scott Brandau who became the last man standing after beating Dustin Hill heads up. Brandau took down a career best score of $72,260 and his first RGPS Main Event win.

RunGood regulars like Grant Hinkle, Brian Frenzel, Ashley “PokerFaceAsh” Frank, Daniel Hughes, Joey Gargiulo, and Daniel Lowery are all expected to appear in the hopes they carve their name even deeper into RGPS’ legacy.
This time around there will be four starting flights, rather than last year’s three starting flights. Players will start with 30,000 in chips, with blinds starting at 100/200 with a 200 big blind ante. Levels will last 30 minutes, with a 15-minute break at the conclusion of every four levels prior to level 8, then it will happen every three levels after level 8. Play will continue until 12.5% of the flight’s entrants remain. Those players will bag up and will be guaranteed at least a minimum payout and will return to play on Sunday, April 16th at 12 pm. Players who do not bag in this flight will have ample opportunity to play in the remaining flights on Friday and Saturday.
