Day 2 of the $600 RunGood Series Checkpoint Main Event gets underway at 12 noon local time as 44 players return from a field of 359 to battle down to a winner and take aim at the grand prize of $39,655.

The leader to start Day 2 is Dong Meng, who brings a heaping amount of 700,000 with him to the table. The largest score of his poker career thus far is for just over $20,000 and he could top that with a second or first-place finish.

Harley Brooks enters the day second in chips with 650,000 as the only other player to have over 100 big blinds in his stack to start the day.

Several interesting names remain among the 44 players left. The room will surely be aware that Pat Lyons is still in the mix with 361,000 as he will be one of the players to watch today.

Corey Paggeot (407,000) is also one of the top contenders on the day with a top ten stack and Jeff Platt (173,000) enters the day in the middle of the pack as he looks to dim the lights to his advantage on Day 2.

Play will start at 12 noon in the downstairs poker room due to a power outage in the tournament ballroom area. Play will start back up at Level 14 with blinds at 3,000/6,000/6,000. The length of the levels increases to 40 minutes on Day 2 and there will be 15-minute breaks every three levels.
