Chipleader Crite Takes Two Pots

Level 12 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Action was picked up on the flop between Gary Crite in the small blind, and another player in the hijack with a pot already have been built preflop.

The flop came out {5-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} and Crite checked to the hijack who bet 10,000 and Crite called.

The turn of {7-Hearts} saw the betting lead switch to Crite who bet 25,000 and his opponent called.

Crite sized up to 40,000 on the {4-Diamonds} river which his opponent called but mucked when he saw the {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts} of Crite.

The following hand, Crite called a 10,000 raise on the button from Yary Hing in middle position and saw a flop four ways.

The {k-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} saw action check to Hing who bet 17,000 getting only a call from Crite.

Crite called the 26,000 bet on the {5-Clubs} turn.

On the river {j-Hearts}, Hing bet 28,000 which sent Crite into the tank. He thought for over thirty seconds about his decision, but ultimately landed on call.

Hing turned over {q-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} for a pair of jacks, but it was no good against Crite's {k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} for a pair of kings and he took a commanding chip lead above the rest of the field.

Alsup Doubles Through Gargiulo

Level 11 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Rich Alsup raised to 6,000 on the button which saw only Joseph Gargiulo call in the big blind.

The flop rolled out {3-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{8-Spades} and Gargiulo checked to Alsup who continued for 4,000, which Gargiulo responded to by raising to 15,000. Alsup re-raised to 30,000 and Gargiulo called.

The turn rolled off a {7-Hearts}, Gargiulo moved all in for 65,000 effective and Alsup called with the shorter stack.

Rich Alsup: {k-Clubs}{8-Clubs}
Joseph Gargiulo: {6-Spades}{3-Clubs}

The river {q-Hearts} did not fill out Gargiulo's straight draw and The WSOP Bracelet winner found himself soaring up the counts, eager to final table this event once more.

Gargiulo was left with just over 10,000 and was eliminated shortly afterwards.

Gates Shoves On Foster

Level 11 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

A player raised to 6,500 from early position and was called by Grant Foster in middle position. Action folded around to Garry Gates who defended his big blind and saw a flop three ways.

The flop of {8-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} saw Gates check to the initial raiser who checked as well. Foster bet 7,000 and Gates responded by moving all in for 35,000.

The initial raiser folded and Foster rechecked his cards very briefly before tossing his hand into the muck and Gates raked in a decent sized pot without showdown.
