The third event of The RunGood Poker Series Checkpoint at Jamul Casino In San Diego, California was the $250 Deepstack, which saw the second biggest prize pool of the series. Over the course of two flights, a total of 220 entrants came to play which secured only 28 players a piece of the $48,875 prize pool.

Some of the players that found their ways to cashes included Lena Evans (28th-$325), Rich Lanes (20th-$530), Anthony Bland (14th-$790), Corey Peebles (13th-$790), and Garry Gates (9th-$1,050).

At the end of it all, it was RGPS ambassador Lexy Gavin-Mather who took down her second RGPS deepstack ring after an icm deal was made three-handed. She takes home the biggest prize of $8,618 and adds herself as one of the two-time RGPS title holders.

Action was picked up on the flop with Shun Wakita under the gun, with three players in position behind him in early position, late position, and the hijack.

With 2,500 in the middle, Wakita bet 1,200 on the {k-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{8-Hearts} which saw all players call.

The turn of {j-Clubs} saw action check through to the {a-Spades} river, that saw action check to the hijack who bet 3,600 which only Wakita called. "I don't have it," replied the hijack while Wakita turned over {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} for top two.

His opponent mucked and the recent RGPS ring winner took down an early pot.
