Brown Sends One Home

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Cornelius Brown
Cornelius Brown

Cornelius Brown raised to 3,100 in early position and both blinds called along with Jael Lewis in the big blind.

On the A97 flop, action checked around to Brown who bet 3,900 which only the small blind called.

The turn peeled off the 5 and the small blind led for 10,000. Brown jammed for his opponent's remaining 10,400 and his opponent thought for a bit before calling.

Opponent: A4
Cornelius Brown: A7

Brown had his opponent drawing dead to a chop, and the river 6 changed nothing for Brown to take down the pot.

The first open event of the RGPS St. Louis Road Trip kicked off on Tuesday, September 26th at 5 pm. Event #2: $250 Opener event saw 200 entrants make an even $40,000 in the prizepool that paid out 25 spots.

It was Ryan Kinder who ended up collecting his first RGPS ring after a close call at last year’s Tulsa stop. A heads up deal was made and Kinder was joined on the rail by his brothers and fathers, all of whom play poker.
