Livesay Coolers Jones

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante
Christopher Livesay
Christopher Livesay

Edward Welch raised in first position to 1,200 and was called by a player on his direct left. Action folded to Christopher Livesay in middle position who three-bet to 3,600 which saw Wesley Jones four-bet to 9,000 in the cutoff. Welch and the other player folded and Livesay moved all in for 26,000 effective which Jones called.

Wesley Jones: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}
Christopher Livesay: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}

Welch had mentioned as the cards were turned up that he had folded {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} which left Livesay drawing to one out. On the {k-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{2-Hearts} flop he found that one out and Jones was left with just one card that could save him. It did not show up on the {7-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} runout and Jones exited the tournament, while Livesay added chips in his quest to top his fourth place finish from last time.

Harriman Heroes Against King

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante
Willie Harriman
Willie Harriman

Action was picked up between Melissa King in early position and Willie Harriman in the small blind, with 6,100 in the center.

On a board reading {a-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}, Harriman bet 5,000 and King responded by moving all in for 23,400, which sent Harriman into the tank. He squirmed around in his seat as he looked at his hand, then over at King. After some time he tossed in some chips to call. "You're ahead," King said "I just have a draw."

Melissa King: {9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}
Willie Harriman: {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}

The board ran out {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades} which kept Harriman's ace-queen in the lead and King exited the tournament area.

Speck Scoops A Big One

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante
Raymond Speck
Raymond Speck

Action was recapped by the table as Raymond Speck stacked up his now chip lead stack.

After one player in early position raised to 1,300, a flurry of calls followed it. The big blind raised to 7,200 which saw all the initial callers fold except for Speck in the small blind.

On a flop of {q-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{7-Clubs}, Speck checked to the big blind who bet 12,400. Speck moved all in for 25,000 effective and his opponent called.

Big blind: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}
Raymond Speck: {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}

The board ran out {10-Hearts}{8-Spades} and the aces could not find any help to stay alive. "Congrats," the big blind said departing from the tournament "you just ran out the worst bad beat of the tournament." He left as Speck stacked his massive stack.

John Guinan Wins Seniors Event

The inaugural RunGood Poker Series at Hard Rock Tulsa kicked off on Tuesday January 24th, with the $200 Seniors No-Limit Hold'em Event. A total of 199 players came out to make a prize pool of $31,830. Of those entrants, only 25 saw a minimum cash of $369.

At the end of it all, it was Arkansas native John Guinan who won outright for $8,072 for his first RGPS title, and his best score in nearly a decade. Guinan had found himself once prior coming close to RGPS glory when he came in 19th place in the last Tulsa Seniors event for $301. This time around he was able to storm forward and take down his first victory since a Heartland Poker Tour win in 2014.
