Wesley Jones
Wesley Jones

Arlo Turner raised to 3,000 in first position, which saw Wesley Jones call from middle position. Action folded around to the small blind who moved all in for 19,800 which saw Turner move all in for 26,000 and Jones called having them covered.

Small blind: {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Arlo Turner: {j-Clubs}{5-Clubs}
Wesley Jones: {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}

The board ran out {a-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{k-Spades}{6-Hearts} and Jones' two pair was good enough to take down the massive pot and send his stack into six figures.

Brian Frenzel
Brian Frenzel

Action was picked up on the turn with Brian Frenzel in the big blind, facing one player in the small blind and another in the cutoff.

With 4,200 in the pot, the small blind led out for 2,500 on the {3-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{6-Hearts} turn which saw both Frenzel and the cutoff call.

The river of {4-Diamonds} checked through and Frenzel turned over {k-Spades}{10-Diamonds} for top pair, which was good. Fresh off of his win in the $250 Deepstack Event, Frenzel stacked up his chips to rise to one of the biggest stacks in the tournament.

John Guinan Wins Seniors Event

The inaugural RunGood Poker Series at Hard Rock Tulsa kicked off on Tuesday January 24th, with the $200 Seniors No-Limit Hold'em Event. A total of 199 players came out to make a prize pool of $31,830. Of those entrants, only 25 saw a minimum cash of $369.

At the end of it all, it was Arkansas native John Guinan who won outright for $8,072 for his first RGPS title, and his best score in nearly a decade. Guinan had found himself once prior coming close to RGPS glory when he came in 19th place in the last Tulsa Seniors event for $301. This time around he was able to storm forward and take down his first victory since a Heartland Poker Tour win in 2014.

Speck Scoops A Big One

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante
Raymond Speck
Raymond Speck

Action was recapped by the table as Raymond Speck stacked up his now chip lead stack.

After one player in early position raised to 1,300, a flurry of calls followed it. The big blind raised to 7,200 which saw all the initial callers fold except for Speck in the small blind.

On a flop of {q-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{7-Clubs}, Speck checked to the big blind who bet 12,400. Speck moved all in for 25,000 effective and his opponent called.

Big blind: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}
Raymond Speck: {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}

The board ran out {10-Hearts}{8-Spades} and the aces could not find any help to stay alive. "Congrats," the big blind said departing from the tournament "you just ran out the worst bad beat of the tournament." He left as Speck stacked his massive stack.
