The RunGood Poker Series Is Back In Tunica For The $600 Main Event!

Kevin Broadway
Kevin Broadway

For the second time this year, The RunGood Poker Series has found its way to The Horseshoe Casino and Hotel in Tunica, Mississippi. After a successful week of preliminary events, that saw all of the prize pool guarantees surpassed, the weekend kicks off with Flight A of The $600 RunGood Main Event beginning at 6 p.m. tonight. This event boasts a $200,000 prize pool guarantee, and given the trend of the events this week, the number could ultimately be passed.

Earlier this year, Kevin Broadway managed to make a deal to secure first place in the RGPS Tunica Main Event for his first title. Time will tell as Broadway will look for a title defense in the event as other regulars look to make their mark on this tournament.

All the usual suspects have appeared around the area this week, with many of them finding success in earlier tournaments. Brian “TheGoldenBlazer” Frenzel collected his fourth title late last night after a few cashes this series. Dylan Lemery won the biggest event thus far after taking down the multi day deepstack. Other RunGood Poker Series winners like Jon Swift, Joey Gargiulo, and Ashley “PokerFaceAsh” Frank all have made appearances this week and look to add a good score with the main event to add to their resumes.

Players will begin the tournament with 30,000 chips with levels beginning at 100/200 and a 200 big blind ante. Levels will escalate once every 30 minutes, with a 10-minute break occurring every four levels. Players will have the option to enter in as many times as they wish in the first eight levels of the tournament. Play will continue until the field plays down 12.5%, then the remaining players will bag up for Sunday, September 3rd where they will all be in the money. Players who do not bag on this flight, will be able to play the remaining two flights on Saturday, September 2nd.
