For the first time this year, The RunGood Poker Series has found its way to The Horseshoe Casino and Hotel in Tunica, Mississippi. After a successful week of preliminary events, that saw all of the prize pool guarantees surpassed, the weekend kicks off with Flight A of The $600 RunGood Main Event beginning at 6 p.m. tonight.

Players will begin the tournament with 30,000 chips with levels starting at 100/200 and a 200 big blind ante. Levels will escalate once every 30 minutes, with a 15-minute break occurring every four levels. Players can enter as many times as they wish in the first eight levels of the tournament. Play will continue until the field plays down 12.5%, then the remaining players will bag up for Sunday, March 5th where they will all be in the money. Players who do not bag on this flight can play the remaining two flights on Saturday, March 4th.

The last RGPS stop in Tunica last October saw the $100,000 guaranteed prize pool triple to over $300,000 as 597 entrants made their way out to play the main event. After battling it out on the final table, it was JW Carter who took home the trophy and $58,110 for his victory. This time around, the prize pool guarantee has been upped to $200,000 and is still expected to be smashed.

Lukina Smashes Turn

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

After a series of betting, Katerina Lukina found herself all in against her shorter-stacked opponent.

Opponent: {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Katerina Lukina: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}

Lukina was already ahead with her superior ace, but the flop of {6-Spades}{8-Clubs}{9-Clubs} put her in second as her opponent hit his nine. Lukina's luck then changed when the {10-Clubs} hit the turn to give her the but flush and left her opponent drawing stone dead.

The meaningless {5-Hearts} completed the board and Lukina was pushed the pot for a double up as her opponent was sent to the rail.

Perfect Ten for Gonzalez

Level 13 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Drew Gonzalez

After an open to 16,000 under-the-gun, Ryan Lima made the call from middle position, but then Drew Gonzalez moved all in for a total of 97,000.

The original raiser promptly folded, but Lima made the call, which put Gonzalez at risk.

Drew Gonzalez: {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}
Ryan Lima: {j-Clubs}{j-Spades}

"Ahh, nice hand bro," Gonzalez said to Lima, but as soon as the words came out of his mouth the dealer put out a flop of {4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} to give him top set of tens. Lima just shook his head as the board completed with {5-Clubs}{2-Spades} to give Gonzalez the double up, much to Lima's dismay.
