For the first time this year, The RunGood Poker Series has found its way to The Horseshoe Casino and Hotel in Tunica, Mississippi. After a successful week of preliminary events, that saw all of the prize pool guarantees surpassed, the weekend kicks off with Flight A of The $600 RunGood Main Event beginning at 6 p.m. tonight.

Players will begin the tournament with 30,000 chips with levels starting at 100/200 and a 200 big blind ante. Levels will escalate once every 30 minutes, with a 15-minute break occurring every four levels. Players can enter as many times as they wish in the first eight levels of the tournament. Play will continue until the field plays down 12.5%, then the remaining players will bag up for Sunday, March 5th where they will all be in the money. Players who do not bag on this flight can play the remaining two flights on Saturday, March 4th.

The last RGPS stop in Tunica last October saw the $100,000 guaranteed prize pool triple to over $300,000 as 597 entrants made their way out to play the main event. After battling it out on the final table, it was JW Carter who took home the trophy and $58,110 for his victory. This time around, the prize pool guarantee has been upped to $200,000 and is still expected to be smashed.

Aces Early for Glasscock

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

David Crawford opened to 600 under-the-gun but was then raised to 2,200 by Bryan Glasscock in the big blind.

Crawford made the call and the two went heads-up to a flop of {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{k-Hearts}. Glasscock led out for 6,000 and Crawford almost called but realized the bet was not 1,500 like he originally thought and tossed his cards into the muck.

Glasscock then showed the table {a-Spades}{a-Clubs} before he tossed them back to the dealer.

"Wow, nice hand, I had queens," Crawford admitted as Glasscock was pushed the pot.

Joyner Coolers Chilton

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

William Joyner was under-the-gun when he opened to 600 and was then called by the cutoff, button, and big blind.

The flop came out {a-Clubs}{9-Spades}{q-Clubs} and Joyner continued for 1,600 but was then raised to 4,000 by Michael Chilton on the button.

After the other players got out of the way, Joyner made the call and they went to the {k-Spades} turn.

After a bet and a raise, the two players got all the chips in the middle, with Chilton at risk.

Michael Chilton: {q-Spades}{9-Clubs}
William Joyner: {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}

Joyner was ahead with his superior two-pair, and the river {9-Hearts} improved him to a full house and Chilton was sent to the rebuy desk.

Loch Doubles Up

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

After a raise from Bryan Loch preflop, David Walker Jammed in his stack of over 30,000. The other players quickly got out of the way and the action was back to Loch, who made the call, putting himself at risk.

Bryan Loch: {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades}
David Walker: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}

Loch, a local tournament grinder and poker vlogger, was a favorite in the classic flip, and the board of {10-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{7-Spades}{4-Hearts}{7-Clubs} ran out pure for him and he scored the huge double up early in the tournament.
