The players in Day 1b are now on their first break of the day and will return to action shortly.
After an open to 1,200 from the early position player and a call from the lojack, Caitlin Comeskey three-bet to 3,000 from the hijack. She was then four-bet to 7,000 by the Button and the action folded back to her.
Comeskey then responded by pulling the trigger on the five-bet and moved all in for 24,700, covering her opponent, who tanked for a solid minute before letting it go.
On a flop of 2♦9♥8♦, Laura McNeese led for 2,200 after a check from one player but was then raised to 6,000 by David Diaz on the button. The player in between them quickly got out of the way but McNeese made the call to see the 2♠ peel on the turn.
McNeese then decided to lead again, this time for 5,700, and Diaz just called.
The river fell the 3♣ and McNeese fired again for 12,000, sending Diaz into the tank. After a few seconds, he shook his head and set out a stack to call and flipped over K♥K♠ for a big two-pair. McNeese (and the rest of the table) looked surprised at his strong holding and she quickly mucked to award him the pot.
"Sorry! Wasn't trying to slow-roll you!" Diaz apologized.
"No, no, you're good! Good call!" McNeese assured him as he stacked his new chips.

After an open from Dimas Martinez Jr. to 1,400 and a call from Travis Gant, Taylor Howard moved all in for 12,000.
Martinez Jr. just called, but then Gant moved all in over the top for more and Martinez Jr. made the call to put both players at risk.
Taylor Howard: 10♦10♣
Travis Gant : A♥Q♥
Dimas Martinez Jr. : K♣Q♦
Howard was in the lead with his pocket tens, but the runout of A♣8♠2♦A♠4♣ gave Gant the win with trip aces and he scooped the pot for more than a double while Howard exited and Martinez Jr. was left short.
Not to be deterred from his ring chase, Howard is already back in the mix with a fresh stack.
On a multi-way flop of 5♦A♦8♣. the action checked to Matthew Snook who bet 2,000 but then Joseph Rechtfertig moved all in for around 22,000.
The action then folded back around to Snook who thought about it for a few seconds before he shook his head and flashed the A♥ before sending it into the muck.
"I had all the outs," Rechtfertig announced as he showed 6♦7♦ for an open-ended straight and flush combo draw as he raked in the pot.
