Barrientos Misses The Flush; Hits The Straight
Level 9
: Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Action was picked up on the flop in a pot between three people including Mark Barrientos in the hijack.
The board read 8♠J♠K♦ and the player in the big blind led out for 10,000 which prompted Barrientos to move all in for 35,500 which only the big blind called.
Mark Barrientos: 10♠9♠
Big blind: J♥8♥
"I like your hand better," the big blind told Barrientos, who held an open ended straight flush draw. The turn 7♦ brought home the straight and the river 7♥ did not change anything, leaving Barrientos to take down a sizable pot.
