Fortunately for Shekeloff, his set was still goof for the side pot he had with Rosen so he still came out ahead.

On a heads-up flop of 2♠7♣10♥, Travis Egbert led for 7,000 into the pot of 24,8000 and Jared Jaffee responded by moving all in for 33,700.

"Why didn't you just get it in pre?" Egbert asked aloud. "We're either chopping or you have like eights."

After a few more seconds of deliberatipn, Egbert decided to make the call an tossed out chips.

"You can beat eights?" Jaffee asked him as he flipped over 7♥8♥ for a pair of sevens.

"No, but i have outs," Egbert replied as he tabled A♣Q♦ for two over cards.

Fortunately for Jaffee, the runout of J♦8♠ only improved him to two pair and he was shipped the pot for a double-up.

Life Outside Poker is a new podcast for PokerNews hosted by Connor Richards that seeks to pull back the curtain on poker players and allow viewers and listeners to get to know them on a personal level.

In the 13th episode, Connor speaks with 888poker ambassador and Twitch streamer Ian Simpson, who talked about first learning poker as a kid, getting a degree in biotechnology and becoming a biology teacher, poker streaming and his breakout year of live poker in 2013 that saw him winning the Irish Poker Open for $339,604.
