Reynolds Scoops With Top Two in Big Stack Battle
Level 14
: Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Terry Harrell opened to 11,000 from under the gun before John Reynolds three-bet to 30,000 from the cutoff, and Harrell called.
On the A♠Q♣8♠ flop, Harrell check-called a bet of 30,000 from Reynolds.
Harrell checked once more on the 3♠ turn as Reynolds bet 55,000. Harrell quickly announced all-in and Reynolds shrugged as he tossed in a chip to call off his 164,000 stack.
John Reynolds: A♦Q♠
Terry Harrell: A♥J♥
Both had flopped top pair but Reynolds had top two and the only spade as he had a lock on the hand. The two saw the inconsequential 4♦ on the river as Reynolds dragged a huge one.
