Place Cools Off Farmboy
Level 15
: Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
After an early position open to 14,000, John "Farmboy" Kurfman three-bet to 45,000 from the button. In the big blind, Johnnie Place jammed covering the table and it folded back to Kurfman.
"How badly can I just get coolered?" Kurfman lamented as he flicked in the call for around 120,000 total.
John Kurfman: K♠K♦
Johnnie Place: A♥A♣
Kurfman immediately knew he was in bad shape and he got the unfortunate news as Place flipped over the ones. The 8♦4♠2♦ flop gave Kurfman some backdoor diamonds hope until the board ran out 7♥9♦ and Farmboy was eliminated.
The field now sits at 35 players remaining, as hand-for-hand will begin after one more elimination.
