Fahrenbruch Notches Double Knockout
Level 9
: Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
The hand began with a raise from early position to 4,000 before Scot Fahrenbruch chose to re-raise to 15,000. Ashley "Pokerface Ash" Frank responded by going all-in for 6,500 from the small blind. The original raiser also jammed all-in for 103,000 and was called by Fahrenbrouch, who had a smidgen more in chips with a stack of 104,000 to put both players at risk.
Ashley Frank: J♠10♠
Opponent: K♦K♣
Scot Fahrenbruch: A♥A♦
Fahrenbruch was ahead of the field with his pocket aces. The flop did not complicate that as it came Q♦3♠5♣. The 8♦ turn gave Frank some outs for a straight, but the 2♥ river was a blank as Fahrenbruch took down a healthy pot.
