Two Starting Flights Slated for Saturday
Day 1a of the RPGS Tulsa $800 Main Event is in the books with a total of 140 taking a crack at qualifying for Day 2 at the Tulsa Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Oklahoma. John Lopez led the pack, finishing on top of the opening flight leaderboards.
Now the attention will turn to the final two starting flights of the tournament on Saturday. Play is scheduled to resume at 11 a.m. local time as Day 1b will begin the day’s festivities. Day 1c will occur later at 6 p.m. local time to round out the three opening flights for the main event.
Players will begin with a starting stack of 30,000 chips. The tournament will have 30-minute blind levels during the first eight levels of open registration. Once registration closes at the beginning of level nine, each blind level will last 40 minutes until the tournament’s conclusion.
There is unlimited re-entry, and players may play all Day 1 flights. Any player qualifying multiple times for Day 2 will be required to take the higher chip stack. A total of 12.5% of each flight, rounded down, will be entitled to advance to Day 2, with all three flight coalescing on Oct. 26 to play down to a winner. There will be a Day 2 redraw, as well as redraws at the final 27 and 18 players, before once again redrawing for the final table of nine.
