Johnny Howard opened the action with a raise to 2,000 from the hijack. He was called in the next seat over by the cutoff before Martin Wilson came along with a call from the big blind.
All three players checked through the 8♠A♥4♠ flop, which brought the 8♦ turn. Wilson checked again on the turn, and this time Howard opted to bet 1,500. The cutoff folded, but Wilson made the call.
Wilson chose to bet 2,500 on the 8♥ river. Howard gave it a moment's thought before he put in the call. Wilson showed quads when he flipped over 8♣7♣ as Howard pitched his cards into the muck.
