Donaldson Secures Double
Level 13
: 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Christy Cranford got the hand started with a raise under the gun to 18,000. Marvin Donaldson responded in the next seat over with a jam for 48,000. Cranford put in the call to put Donaldson at risk.
Marvin Donaldson: 10♦10♠
Christy Cranford: K♥8♦
Donaldson needed to fade the overcard, and the flop was safe as it came 2♠4♠J♦ to keep Donaldson in the lead.
The turn was paint, but it was the wrong kind as the Q♣ peeled off. Donaldson secured the double when the 4♥ flipped over on the river to award him the pot.
