RGPS Grand Prix Tunica Main Event Continues with Day 1b and 1c Flights

Horseshoe Tunica
Horseshoe Tunica

The RunGood Poker Series Grand Prix continues at Horseshoe Tunica, with Day 1b of the $600 Main Event taking place today at 11:00 a.m. local time and Day 1c starting at 6:00 p.m. The tournament features a $200,000 guaranteed prize pool, with three Day 1 starting flights taking place over two days. Players who advance from each flight will combine and return for Day 2 on Sunday, September 7, where a winner will be crowned.

Earlier in the year, the 2025 Mission RunGood Series edition of the event attracted 546 runners, and through the first starting flight, 174 entrants have ponied up the $600 buy-in this time around. Only 21 of those competitors will be advancing to Day 2, all of whom have already made the money.

Day 1a saw none other than the defending champion, Cody Stanford, emerge as the runaway chip leader with 777,000. Stanford walked away with his eighth RGPS ring in Tunica back in March, along with the first-place prize of $53,988. He will look to leverage his experience and big stack on Day 2 to put himself in a position to go back-to-back.

Players will begin each starting flight with 30,000 in chips and blinds will begin at 100/200 with a 200 big blind ante. Blinds will be 30 minutes in length during the open registration period (Levels 1-8) and will increase to 40 minutes after late registration closes (Level 9 and beyond). At the completion of Level 8, players may forfeit their stack and re-enter for $600.

Should a player choose to play multiple Day 1 flights, only the highest qualifying stack will be permitted to continue to Day 2. Any lower stack(s) will be removed from play at the start of Day 2 and receive a min-cash.

Play for Day 1 flights will conclude once 12.5% of the field (rounded down) remains and those who bag will be in the money. Day 2 will then start at the earliest blind level of the three flights on Sunday, September 7, where the event will play down to a winner.
